Now
Local Foodies is live first for Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. The current foundation includes restaurant discovery, search, local listings, markets, caterers, events, saved places, business claims, secure account flows and the first public version of the Local Foodies experience.
Next
Next, we will focus on improving local restaurant data, publishing more local food events, strengthening market and caterer coverage, and listening to community feedback so Local Foodies becomes more useful every week.
Future
Once the Waterloo Region model is proven, Local Foodies can expand carefully into larger Canadian food cities such as Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. These are future expansion examples, not immediate launch announcements.
Longer-term vision
The long-term vision is to help food lovers, local businesses, markets, caterers, creators and communities connect city by city. Local Foodies is being built around discovery, Foodie Circles, local creators and the Community Table idea that everyone deserves a seat at the table.
