- Understand opening hours and "Hours unavailable"
Open and Closed labels use published hours and recorded closures. Hours unavailable means there is not enough hours information to calculate a label.
- Create an account and write reviews
Sign up with email or Google, then write reviews on business profiles.
- Report incorrect information or suggest a business
Suggest a missing business with Add a missing business, or tell us about wrong details on the Contact page.
Finding food

Explore Waterloo Region and read our food guides for ideas by area and occasion.
- Use filters and your location
Narrow results with filters, and select Use my location to see approximate distances.
Listings

- What the Owner verified badge means
The Owner verified badge appears when Local Foodies has confirmed that a representative of the business manages the profile. It is not an endorsement.

For Business Owners
Start here
- Claim your business listing
Find your listing, create an account and send a claim. Our team reviews it before you can manage the profile.
- Open your business dashboard and edit details
Open My businesses, choose your listing and update the details you can edit, then select Save changes.
- Plans and locked features
Free gives you a listing. Plus, Premium and Groups add tools to bring in customers. Locked features show which plan includes them.
Getting started
- Claim your business listing
Find your listing, create an account and send a claim. Our team reviews it before you can manage the profile.
- What happens after you send a claim
Local Foodies staff review every claim. You can manage the profile once it is approved.
Managing your listing
- Open your business dashboard and edit details
Open My businesses, choose your listing and update the details you can edit, then select Save changes.
- Update your opening hours
Owners can't edit hours yet. Send your hours to our team and we'll enter them for you.
- Upload photos and photo approval
Photo uploads are part of Plus and higher plans. Every photo is reviewed before it appears.
- Request a Restaurant Details correction
Restaurant details are kept by our team. Use Request a correction on your listing to tell us what to change.

- Manage more than one location
Free and Plus cover 1 location, Premium up to 3 and Groups up to 10. Contact us for more than 10.
