Takeout and Pickup Specials in KW

*Takeout and pickup specials in Kitchener-Waterloo — where ordering direct beats the delivery apps, and which restaurants publish their own pickup offers.*

Last reviewed: September 28, 2026 | KW Foodies Editorial Team

The same meal can cost three different totals in Kitchener-Waterloo depending on where you place the order. Direct pickup avoids third-party service and delivery fees, a restaurant's own app or email list can discount a first order, and some kitchens run pickup-only specials that never reach the delivery platforms.

AD Double Deal Pizza & Wings

101 Hazelglen Drive, Unit 2, Kitchener | Best for: pickup-only pricing

The shop advertises pickup and delivery, with a pickup-only large one-topping pizza special below $15 before tax, plus combo deals and multi-pizza packages. Order by phone or through its online ordering page.

Kelseys Kitchener

1440 South Ottawa Street, Kitchener | Best for: app credit and takeout bundles

Slice City Pizza & Chicken

1241 Strasburg Road, Kitchener | Best for: a combined pizza-and-chicken pickup order

Halal pizza, fried chicken, wings and sides, with pickup and delivery ordering online.

Pickup versus delivery apps

Delivery apps add service, delivery and sometimes menu-markup costs on top of the restaurant's price. Before ordering through one, price the same items on the restaurant's own channel. Restaurant-direct offers — app credits, email signups, pickup-only specials — usually beat the app total for the identical order. See the coupons and loyalty guide for signup offers worth having.

Reliable takeout without a promotion

• Bao Sandwich Bar — buns and baguette sandwiches that travel without falling apart.
• City Café Bakery — sandwiches and melts, taxes included in posted prices.

Frequently asked questions

Is pickup cheaper than delivery in Kitchener-Waterloo?

Usually. You skip service and delivery fees, and some restaurants price pickup-only specials. Compare the same order on both channels before deciding.

Which restaurants have their own apps or ordering pages?

Kelseys Kitchener has a brand app with offers, and AD Double Deal Pizza & Wings and Slice City Pizza & Chicken take online orders directly.

Do takeout specials work every day?

Not always — many exclude coupons or apply to one order type, like Kelseys' bundles, which can't be combined with other offers. Check the terms on the restaurant's own page.
